About George Newton
George Newton (pedal steel guitar, lap steel) George has been using the pedal steel guitar to add flavor to all genres of music for 4 decades. Once Rusty Young of Poco in the late 60’s demonstrated that it could be used with all types of music, George fell in love with instrument and jumped in. George has played with groups in New Jersey, NYC, Florida, Austin, TX and Upstate New York and is regularly asked to participate in studio sessions.
